Verifying
We are bringing the DNS servers back online in the Amsterdam data center and seeing traffic responding in the region. We'll keep an eye on the systems for now and sound the all-clear at the top of the hour when we verify they are stable.

Update
We are still in the process of upgrading the systems and working to bring the region back online as quickly as possible. Zone updates should now be allowed for this region, but we have not brought the name servers back online yet. We should have DNS resolution restored within the hour.

In progress
We're about to take the Amsterdam region offline for the upgrade. Regional DNS records for this region will not update until we bring everything back online. Thank you once again for your patience and we hope to get this done quickly.

Scheduled
We're going to be upgrading the operating system and re-configuring the name servers in the Amsterdam data center for a period of up to 4 hours. During this time, regional records for Amsterdam (AMS Region) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Tokyo, JP or Ashburn, VA (IAD Region) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
