Verifying
We now have Zone Updates and DNS traffic restored in the Tokyo data center. Traffic seems to be flowing pretty well and responding. We're going to keep an eye on it and sound the all-clear at the top of the hour.

Update
We have resolved the hardware issue and now working to bring the region back online. We expect for DNS resolution to be restored in this region within the hour and will update the components once we confirm they are operating correctly.

Update
We have discovered a hardware issue with one of the systems in Tokyo and awaiting a response from our provider. For now, DNS traffic in the region is still being diverted to San Jose or Amsterdam until we can get an update from them.

In progress
We are upgrading the operating system and re-configuring the name servers in the Tokyo data center for a period of up to 4 hours. During this time, regional records for Tokyo (TKO Region) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either San Jose, CA (SV1 Region) or Amsterdam, NL (AMS Region) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
