We're going to be upgrading the operating system and re-configuring the name servers first in the Sydney (SYD) datacenter and then the Tokyo (TKO) datacenter for a period of up to 8 hours.
During the first one, regional records for Sydney (SYD) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Tokyo (TKO) or San Jose (SV1) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
During the second, regional records for Tokyo (TKO) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Sydney (SYD) or San Jose (SV1) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
