We're now starting the upgrade process. Routing will divert and DNS updates to Ashburn, VA will be delayed until we complete the work in the region.

Update
We're preparing to take the Ashburn, VA region offline while we upgrade systems in that data center. Traffic will shortly re-route to Amsterdam and Chicago and DNS updates for Ashburn, VA will not update until we have completed this window. We'll begin shortly and complete this as quickly as we can.

We're going to be upgrading the operating system and re-configuring the name servers in the Ashburn, VA data center for a period of up to 4 hours. During this time, regional records for Ashburn (IAD Region) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Chicago, IL (ORD Region) or Amsterdam, NL (AMS Region) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
