We're going to be upgrading the operating system and re-configuring the name servers first in the Amsterdam (AMS) datacenter and then the Virginia (IAD) datacenter for a period of up to 8 hours.
During the first one, regional records for Amsterdam (AMS) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Chicago (ORD) or Tokyo (TKO) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
During the second, regional records for Virginia (IAD) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Chicago (ORD) or San Jose (SV1) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
