Verifying
The Tokyo region is back online and resolving normally. We're going to keep an eye on it for the next few minutes and sound the all-clear if everything looks to be stable.

We've restored zone distribution to Tokyo and are warming up the name servers right now. Looks like we'll be done ahead of schedule.

The repairs have been completed and testing is underway. If everything checks out Tokyo will be back online within the hour.

In progress
We're preparing to take the Tokyo region offline before hardware repairs. DNS updates will go out as usual, but region-specific records for Tokyo will not update until we complete this work. DNS resolution in the Asia/Pacific region will be a little slower than usual once we take the name-servers offline as well.

Scheduled
We need to perform emergency hardware repairs on a system in our Tokyo Datacenter which will delay region-specific record updates to the Tokyo Datacenter. DNS resolution in the Asia/Pacific region will have slower than usual resolution times until we can complete repairs and restore service. API and Web traffic will be unaffected during this repair. We expect the repair to take up to 4 hours to complete due to additional testing to verify the replacement part works as expected.
