We're going to be upgrading the operating system and re-configuring the name servers first in the Chicago (ORD) datacenter and then the Amsterdam (AMS) datacenter for a period of up to 6 hours.
During the first one, regional records for Chicago (ORD) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either San Jose (SV1) or Ashburn (IAD) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
During the second, regional records for Amsterdam (AMS) will not respond and all DNS traffic in the area will be re-routed to either Tokyo (TKO Region) or Chicago (ORD Region) which will degrade the performance of DNS resolution temporarily. All other services and systems will function normally.
